Empowering Individuals, Strengthening Communities
Creating Lasting Change Through Education and Action

Some stories never get old. No matter how many times I heard them, I always wanted to hear them again. The Azad Hind–Lal Singh Saini Memorial Foundation was born from those stories, stories of my great-grandfather, Lal Singh Saini, told to me by my grandfather and my father over the years. Stories of courage, sacrifice, kindness, and a life lived in service of something bigger than oneself. My great-grandfather was a part of the Azad Hind Fauj during India's freedom struggle. There was a time when his family did not even know whether he was alive. He chose a path that demanded sacrifice, and like many freedom fighters of his generation, he carried that burden quietly. Growing up, I didn't know him personally, but I feel like I know him through the stories. He had a photograph of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the family temple. It has always been there. As a child, I never fully understood its significance. As I grew older, I began to understand that it represented more than history. The more I learned about my great-grandfather, the more I admired him. And somewhere along the way, I realized that if there is any good I hope to do in this world, it is probably because a small part of his legacy lives on in me. That is where this Foundation began. Not in a boardroom. Not in a business plan. It began with a simple thought: if I admire these values so much, then I should do my best to live by them. Like many people, I often find myself complaining about the problems around us. We all do. We talk about the lack of sanitation, the barriers to education, the struggles faced by women, and how difficult it can be for ordinary people to access legal help. But at some point, I realized that complaints alone do not create change. Action does. The Azad Hind–Lal Singh Saini Memorial Foundation is our attempt to turn concern into action. Through initiatives focused on sanitation, legal aid and consultancy, education, women's empowerment, and community welfare, we hope to contribute, even in a small way, towards building stronger and more empowered communities. This Foundation carries my great-grandfather's name because I cannot think of a better way to honor him. Not with a statue. Not with a plaque. But with work that helps people. The work ahead is big, and we are only at the beginning of our journey. But every meaningful change starts somewhere. If you are someone who believes that kindness matters, that communities grow stronger when people help one another, and that even small efforts can create lasting impact, then you already have a place here. Welcome to the Azad Hind–Lal Singh Saini Memorial Foundation. We hope you will walk this journey with us. Our purpose is to address social challenges that limit growth and development within communities. Many individuals face barriers such as lack of educational opportunities, limited awareness of legal rights, gender inequality, and inadequate access to essential resources. Through our programs and outreach activities, we strive to bridge these gaps by providing guidance, awareness, support, and opportunities that empower people to improve their lives and contribute positively to society. At AHLSSM Foundation, our work is centered around four key areas. We promote education by encouraging learning opportunities and supporting initiatives that help individuals build knowledge and skills for a better future. We spread legal awareness to help people understand their rights and access justice when needed. We actively support women empowerment by encouraging equality, confidence, leadership, and economic independence among women. Additionally, we work towards community development by organizing programs and activities that strengthen social well-being and encourage collective progress. Through collaborative efforts with volunteers, social workers, educators, community leaders, and local stakeholders, we aim to create sustainable impact and bring positive change at the grassroots level. Our commitment is to empower individuals, strengthen communities, and build a more inclusive, equitable, and compassionate society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Our Purpose & Impact

Access to Justice

Every individual deserves to understand and exercise their rights. We promote legal awareness, provide guidance, and support community initiatives that help people access justice, make informed decisions, and build confidence in navigating legal challenges.

Community Development

We work closely with communities to identify local challenges and create meaningful solutions that improve quality of life. Through awareness programs, outreach initiatives, and collaborative efforts, we strive to build stronger, more resilient, and self-reliant communities.

Inclusive Empowerment

We believe that everyone deserves equal opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed. By promoting education, awareness, and active participation, we empower individuals from all backgrounds to contribute confidently to their communities and achieve their full potential.
